I enjoyed the flow of this track... great beat and interesting production ideas! it gets pretty crazy in the middle there and this track is almost like a glance into your mind for just a snippet of time! Interesting stuff. Also, don't pay attention to ppl that bash your stuff online, leave it up if you like it and it means something to you!

flashmakeit responds:

I am so glad you enjoyed the flow and your review was awesome!

I like this one and I definitely can picture what you said about flying through the air. Are you using logic for this? Some of the string sounds remind me of when I first started using it. Though, I have to say, I'm so glad I switched over to Ableton, even though it took me a few years to get it. As far as future work.. I suggest creating separate sections with your tracks.. like.. think.. A section, B section, A section, middle 8, A section kinda thing. It helps to consolidate your ideas and get to the point much quicker. And harmonically, you can expand on how you combine and interact with the different sections. And, consider making your own sounds! That'll give you a unique, original edge!

Thanks for the review. I am using FL Studio and I have been experimenting with strings for a little while, its fun :D. As for building a song with sections, I literally am bad at this xd I have always been doing my songs as easy as possible without thinking too much about them, if a melody gets stuck on my head I just put it there and because of that I am having a hard time finding the right genre of my tracks.

I like the energy, intensity, and fun in this one. If you are following the energy that drives you, then you're doing music right. Keep it up

I enjoyed the intensity and energy. Who cares about it being rough or whatever, you are, like you say, having fun, and people have fun hearing people having fun!

Hell yeah, man! But don't just listen to my version! Check out the real version! You may notice some differences, but hey, this is just my little tribute to the band! Glad you liked it!

great production and ideas, keep it upppp

I really think that you're on the right track to fuse electronic music with jazz harmonies.. this is definitely a step into the future so way to go.

sweet groove, rock on!!!! For future ng submissions, I'd try making them a bit more concise and you'd have more of a "hit" on your hands.. I really enjoy everything you did with this one and I personally HATE HATE HATE it when people say "repetitive" or some dumb thing like that. And really you don't have to change if you don't think you should at all. Still, it's good to be aware of how you can manipulate people into considering your stuff more of a smash.

Very cool track!! The interest is constant throughout, the sounds change in a very engaging way, and the energy is maintained throughout! Hope you feel proud of this one. As a suggestion for future tracks, it sounds to me like the drums are slightly prepackaged.. change the EQ/compression on them or do something else to make them a bit more unique to your sound and your sound will have even more credibility. All-around great work!

EctiBot responds:

Thx! This review really made my day XD. Glad it gave you an energetic feel :). Was what I was aiming for and yes. I do actually feel proud about this one, especially so many nice reviews XD.
I'll definetly take your tip about the drums in consideration :D. Never really thought about mixing with the sound of the drums :). Usually only use samples I get from friends and the web, but now I'll try making my own, special sounding kicks as well :). This is why I love getting reviews. It really helps me to improve.

Thx alot for the review and btw, I loved your submission as well :). I'll drop a review on it later today ;).

I enjoyed the composition, melodies, it's a solid track.. very interesting soundscape, and it totally works! The lyrics really put you in the scene you're describing, and the music puts you there in a different way which is awesome. You may already have considered these, but these are some stylistic ideas I thought about as I listened.. have you considered putting a subtle very quick delay on one of the vocals and turning down the other overdubbed vocal? Also, it might be interesting to hear what the background vocals sound like if you overdub them a few more times and put them more in the background!

motakay responds:

Thanks alot! Makes me glad you like it!
Very interesting thoughts, maybe I'll try that later! It's the first time I am experimenting with dubbing the vocals so will definitly explore it some more! :)

I've enjoyed your tracks and style.. the drums are super punchy and for sure the structure, melody, and flow is extremely interesting! I encourage you to think less in "genres".. it sometimes seems that while you're perfecting various styles, there may be a genre that's unique to you that doesn't necessarily fall into "house" or DnB" or anything else.. it may be a harder buy for some people at first, but what good are 100% 5 star tracks
